Shared Reality is a silkscreen by Jeremy Deller, created at MASEREEL’s ateliers. With its bold two-word statement, Deller examines how social media and misinformation fragment our shared understanding of reality, creating isolated and conflicting perspectives where meaningful dialogue becomes nearly impossible. The work emphasizes the critical role of a common reality in a functioning society. It underscores how our perceptions of the world can unite or divide us.
In addition to being an artistic expression, the work activates the space in which it is situated, as well as all who share that space. This shared experience transforms spectators into active participants, thereby reinforcing the central idea of unity within the work.
